Fasting To Cure Acne - Why This The Most Powerful And Effective Tool For Clear Skin

I almost daily come across the typical treatment regimen for acne: benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, don't touch your face, wash your pillow cases, sacrifice a goat and moisturize. Not necessarily in that order. Be it on TV, online or in real life, people still use the standard regimen to help with acne and tell it to their friends. I mean, since everyone else is doing it, it must work, right?

Well, sure this regimen and others like it do work for many people. BP and salicylic acid have pretty good track records when it comes to dealing with acne.

However, there are still two huge problems with all these regimens. First, while they do work for many, there are still tons of people out there with really bad acne who are left in the dark because these regimens don't work for them. They try product after product and start looking into stronger alternatives such as accutane. Second, even if the regimen works, do you really want to keep following through with these every single day? If you think chewing gum and walking is hard, trying walking while constantly telling yourself to not touch your face!

Well there is an incredibly powerful method for completely curing your acne and getting if off your face as fast (no pun intended) as possible and that method is referred to as fasting. Fasting is simply forgoing most or all food for a given period and is a super powerful method for getting rid of acne for one reason and one reason alone: it attacks the root problems rather than the symptoms. When I first learned about fasting and acne, I wondered how in the world not eating food could possibly help clear away a skin problem.

And this very question is what opened my eyes about acne and finally lead me down a path of discovery that finally did away with my acne once and for all.

You see I, like most people in the world, knewthat acne was a skin problem. I mean, it's obvious, isn't it? You see pimples right there on your face, right? We've all seen those pictures of a pimple forming: dirt, dead skin, oil and bacteria all get into a pore causing it to become inflamed and form into a zit. If it get's bad enough, we'll have multiple pores forming large cysts that can potentially link together into nodular acne which covers whole sections of your face. My acne progressively turned into this as I got older so I was pretty much on a mission to stop it all costs.

Now some very good questions that never really get addressed or asked is, "Why do we have oily skin/Why do we have so much dead skin/Why is the bacteria getting into pores?" We just kind of take it in stride that they're problems that we must address with various creams, gels and moisturizers. These questions, in fact, lead to the very crux of our acne problems.

You see, acne actually doesn't have a single thing to do with our skin, our pores, oil, bacteria or anything else external. Oh sure, pimples do form as a result of what I described, but the oil and everything else is in turn caused by problems within our bodies. At its most basic form, years of eating crappy foods have both caused our bodies to become insulin resistant as well as caused our immune systems to become bogged down and worn out. What these innerproblems cause is large amounts of oil and dead skin on our faces as well as allowing the P. Acnes bacteriato multiply out of control and into pores when it normally exists in a state of balance on our face.

Essentially, acne begins inside of our bodies. The oil, dead skin and everything else is a direct result of those realproblems inside rather than the external symptomswe see outside.

This is a bit of an eye opening experience and I know, from personal experience, that it is a bit hard to swallow. It goes against everything we've been taught and repeated to others about acne and, to me anyways, it sound kind of "new agey" and "hippyish." I scoffed at the idea for a long while before finally admitting that nothing else had worked and what did I have to lose?

Now when it comes to fasting, there are several routes you can take. You can do a juice fast by literally throwing fruits and vegetables into a blender (I recommend a strainer if you go this route), you can follow a planned fast such as the Master Cleanse/Lemonade Diet or you can opt for something more gentle such as eating strictly apples for a few days. All of these are fairly strong routes to helping your body naturally take care of internal problems and do away with your acne.

The reason that these fasts are so powerful and effective for clearing away your acne for good is because it addresses the real problems inside, simply put. As I stated, insulin and other hormones build up in our bodies over literal yearsand in that time, you're still eating, playing, and living life. Your body doesn't get a chance to clear away the problems because a ton of our energy is directed to digesting food. By forgoing food, you free up a lot of energy that the body can use to clear away its internal problems. Basically, you get to hit a giant "reset" button inside and get rid of your problems.

Now you could skip a fast and just eat extremely healthy and get rid of your acne that way. However, as I said, we've all been eating poorly for years. Do you think your acne is going to go away in a week? A month? It's going to take a long time. Getting your nutrients in liquid form just allows your body to clear away everything and get's you to your goal very quickly. When I say quickly, I literally mean days. After a 1 week fast, I was completely clear 1 week later.

So instead of focusing on the symptomson your skin, instead, focus on the real problemswithin. By doing a fast, you give yourself the ultimate weapon: your body's natural healing system. It is so powerful if you just give it a chance to unleash itself to its fullest strength. Don't fall into the same trap I did; clear away those internal problems and get the clear skin you deserve.
